Decorative canoe in black werregue fibre, handmade by the Wounaan indigenous community, located in the Colombian Pacific. The werregue pieces represent the ancestral culture of the Wounaan and each one reflects the identity of the artisan who makes it, who can spend up to three months to manufacture it. The indigenous people weave the werregue fibre, which is a palm with a thorny trunk that can reach up to 200 metres in height. Weaving this fibre is a work of art and through it, various types of products can be produced, with modern designs and figures representative of the Wounaan ethnic group.
