Black werregue fiber container with palm tree design, made by the Wounaan indigenous communities, located in the Colombian Pacific. The werregue containers represent the ancestral culture of the Wounaan and in each piece is captured the identity of the artisan who manufactures it, who can spend up to three months for its manufacture. The indigenous people weave the werregue fiber, which is a palm with a thorny trunk that can reach up to 200 meters in height. Weaving this fiber is a work of art and through it, various types of products can be produced, with modern designs and figures representative of the Wounaan ethnic group.
