Medium-sized chest decorated with a geometric design in beige tones, using the traditional wheat straw veneering technique. The wheat straw veneering technique is native to the ancestral villages of San Juan de Pasto, capital of the department of Nariño in Colombia, and is one of the oldest and most distinctive craft techniques in the area. This technique consists of creating strands and/or molds from wheat fiber that has been flattened and dyed with natural dyes, which are then attached to wooden bases, such as bowls, vases, chests, or any other product made of wood, creating designs rich in color, culture, and tradition.
