Handmade werregue fibre container made by the Wounaan indigenous community, located in the Colombian Pacific. The werregue containers represent the ancestral culture of the Wounaan and each piece reflects the identity of the artisan who makes it, who can spend up to three months to manufacture it. The indigenous people weave the werregue fibre, which is a palm with a thorny trunk that can reach up to 200 metres in height. Weaving this fibre is a work of art and through it, various types of products can be produced, with modern designs and figures representative of the Wounaan ethnic group. To have a werregue container is to have a decorative piece of dream and exclusivity, which gives a touch of perfection to the place where it is placed.
