Traditional African doll, handcrafted from carved wood, decorated with colored beads and Seashell details. These types of dolls are traditional in Cameroon, Africa. In this culture, they are usually given to young girls to name, care for, and carry like babies, which prepares them for when they must take on the role of mothers. They are also often rubbed on the bellies of women who wish to conceive or who are in labor. Nowadays, as they are used as decorative objects, they can be placed on consoles, side tables, or decorative niches.
